10 Shipments

The production is complete for a month now. 

As we worked with factories in China and EU (Poland and Lithuania), we organized a number of shipments from China and EU to reach our final regional warehouses.

There are 10 shipments in total that can be logically split into 4 groups:

• 2 transfer shipments for Codex Arcanum (Lithuania) and Game Mats (Poland) to a German warehouse (EU to EU).
• 3 shipments are from EU (Codex Arcanum and Game Mats) to US, Australia and China.
• 4 shipments are from China (Games, Dice Vial and Card Sleeves) to US, EU, Australia and China.
• 1 transfer shipment from US to Canada (once all the rewards for the Canadian backers are received by the US warehouse, they will be hauled by truck to a Canadian warehouse and then distributed from there)

The following is the status for the first 3 groups:

EU to EU (2 shipments)

The shipment from Lithuania completed on the 13th of August.

The shipment from Poland completed on the 1st of October.

EU to US, Australia and China (3 shipments)

The shipment to Australia is by air, and it is in route. Estimated about 2 weeks to arrive.

The shipment to China is by air. It is going through France, but should arrive in about two weeks as well.

The shipment to US is by ocean, and it has left the warehouse. It is currently trucked to port and loaded onto the boat. They haven't sent ETA for that yet but from EU to US is usually about 2-3 weeks.

China to US, EU, Australia and China (4 shipments)

Here are the preliminary details for the US and EU shipments:

Except for China everything from the factory is shipping by ocean, so the timeline is a little longer. Still, estimated arrivals to the warehouses is in late November. 

When can you expect to receive your rewards?

The best person to answer this question is Katie from Funagain Games (they merged with Ship Naked and are the company handling our distribution).

"Ships are due to arrive in port at the end of November. It will then take a little time to clear customs and be delivered to our warehouses. Shipping in December often has delays so while we will do our best to send rewards as quickly as possible, there is a very high chance that many packages will not arrive before the end of the year."

As we gather all the details about the ships that are carrying your precious cargo we will share them with you in the following project update.

Chinese production

The Core and Premium Games, Dice Vials, and Sleeve Sets are produced and ready for freight shipments. The game production was delayed for a month, and last week the factory shared with us the reason:

"we're sorry for not keeping close communication recently because the drying time of cardboard mats took longer than what we expected, and we had to slow donw the final packing step to exam the cardboard mats before we put them into the boxes to cause not too many updates on production. All processes are supposed to be done by next week, we can carry on with our discussion about shipping."

Regardless, it is my responsibility for the delivery of this project, and I humbly apologize for this lag.

European production

The books (Codex Arcanum) produced by the Lithuanian factory are already in the German warehouse (EU fulfillment center).

The mats (Game Mats) produced by the Polish factory are on the road towards the German warehouse - they will arrive in a few working days.

Distribution process

Chinese factory is now preparing 3 freight shipments to US, EU, Australia and 1 truck shipment to a fulfillment center in China (Asian fulfillment center).

Once the mats arrive in the German warehouse they will be combined with books, and then 3 freight shipments will be sent to fulfillment centers in US, Australia and China (for backers from those regions).

Next step?

Getting the list and tracking URLs of transoceanic ships with our precious cargo. Once they start their journey we will have a fairly accurate way of knowing the delivery dates.

Note that there will be just one package per backer. Your package will be sent when all the products are received in your corresponding fulfillment center.

Based on all the information from the manufacturers and distributor, the current estimated delivery date is November.

Production in China (Games, Sleeve Set, Dice Vial)

The production should be finished by the end of this month.

Email received on 2019-08-14 (08:59AM) - "The wooden conponents,Card Sleeves have been ready and the printing conponents still need some treatments by our workers. More pictures will be shared for you according to the production schedule.When the project enter finall assembling, pictures are easily to be taken and at that time we would send to you."

Email received on 2019-08-06 (11:26AM) - "All non-paper components have been finished except for dices are still under production. All the other paper components have been printed out and now are under surface treatment (coating, finish, lamination, varnish). If all goes as planned, all games will be finished by the end of this Month and we can discuss shipping early Sep. We will start to take and send the pictures from production lines for reference later next week."

Production in Poland (Game Mats)

The production should be finished by the end of this month.

Email received on 2019-08-14 (12:15AM) - "I’m sending a video with one of the key steps during the process of creating a rubber play mat. FIrst we print with Swiss inks on a special paper (photo attached). Then, previously prepared, blank laser cut rubber mats are placed in a special rotary machine heated up to 190 degrees Celsius. The ink from the printed sheet changes its form from solid to liquid inside the rotary machine and begins to vaporize and merge with polyester fibers of the rubber mats coating. The mat is ready to use right after leaving the rotary machine. The steam that can be seen at the end of the proces is water vapor. Because the ink is now merged with the poliester fibers the mat is durable and UV resistant. It can also be washed in a mashine as it won’t damage its structure or colours. On the video we documented the process of creating a single mat in order to show it thoroughly to you. In normal work process multiple mats are simultaneously getting through the mashine."

Email received on 2019-08-06 (11:12AM) - "Now we’re during slowest and not ‘sexy’ step – printing on special paper, after this step magic will be visible: ink from paper will be transferred with 180 celsius and lot steam around onto blank rubber. We start this step next week with laser cutting together. Of course I can send printing proces photos - or you can wait for something what looking definetely better till Monday-Tuesday ? People don’t know this technology and usually ask „why do you print on paper? I ordered rubber mat” :)"

Production in Lithuania (Codex Arcanum)

On the 8th of August the books are done.

Not only did we receive the pictures of the printing process, but yesterday we received the book itself! It is everything we hoped for.. and even more.. 

The quality of the print, the cover and the bindings are of the highest quality - the company did the amazing job. Going through almost 200 pages of the Codex feels so fulfilling, you are in for a treat. ;)

Distribution process

Chinese factory will send 3 freight shipments to US, EU, and Australia. There will be one additional truck shipment to a fulfillment center in China.

Yesterday the EU fulfillment center in Germany received all the books.

Once the fulfillment center also receives the mats, the freight shipments with the books and mats will be sent to the fulfillment centers in US, Australia and China (for backers from those regions).

The current estimated date that I've received for sending your package is late September, but based on the previous deadlines I am a bit cautious with my expectations.

There will be just one package (shipment) per backer. Your package will be sent when all the products are received in their corresponding regional warehouses.

Delivery date revealed

The séance with our box production Daemon birthed a channeling document. For your convenience, we are sharing the time related excerpt:

Our team of technosynthesists have managed to decipher its meaning. By the looks of it we are all going to die due to some totally preventable and trivial blunder from our part as humans.

The bad news is: before that happens you will be getting your boxes - dying with the knowledge that you won't be able to go through all the game content in time.  

The current projection puts September as the unfortunate month for receiving your boxes.
  We apologize for the fault in our initial projection. Those responsible have been sacked.

On behalf of your soul-threatening experiences from the future, we have made coin deposits to all of our Daemons (..ensuring we stay away from all that bloodbath). This means that the list containing your names is locked, and refunds are no longer possible.

Manual translations in progress

As healing the world with Her metastasizing voice is one of our main goals, our technobardic team are crafting a number of language modulators that will enable the game manual to penetrate the hypnoxic barrier of other languages:

Codex Arcanum

The grimoire is under final surgeries, and will afterwards be transported to our book production Daemon.  Caution to ascendants of the 10 dimensions (11 if you count time): we are having trouble with binding a couple of warding runes to the 6th dimension - you know what to do.
